Zunto

Frequently asked questions

Anything not answered here, emailzunto.live@gmail.com.

Is Zunto free?

Yes, completely. Every game is free to play as many times as you like. There is nothing to buy, no premium tier and no trial. The site is paid for by advertising.

Do I need to download or install anything?

No. Every game runs in your browser. There is no app, no download and no plugin — tap a game and it starts.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Zunto has no accounts and no sign-up. You never give us your name or email, and your progress is saved in your own browser rather than on our servers.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes — the site is built for phones first. Every game in the main catalog is tested with touch controls on a phone-sized screen before it goes live. Games that genuinely need a keyboard are kept in a separate PC section instead of being squeezed onto a phone badly.

Will my progress and high scores be saved?

Scores and progress are saved in your browser, so they survive if you close the tab and come back. They are tied to that browser on that device, so they do not follow you to another phone or computer, and clearing your browsing data erases them.

Why do I see ads?

Ads are what pay for the site, the hosting and the time spent adding games. We keep them deliberately light: never on top of a game while you are playing, never before you have had a chance to play at all, and limited in how often they appear between games.

Do I have to watch an ad to keep playing?

No. Some games offer an optional ad in exchange for something useful — an extra life, a hint, a chance to continue. That is always your choice, and turning it down never blocks your progress or locks a game.

Who made the games on this site?

Other people did. Every game was made by an independent developer and published under an open licence that allows us to host it. We check the licence, the artwork and the name before a game goes up. Each game is credited on its own page with a link to the original, and the full list is on the credits page.

A game of mine is on here. How do I get it removed?

Email the address on the content report page with the link, and we will disable the game within one business day and reply to you. We take it down first and discuss afterwards. If you would rather it stayed up with different credit, we will do that instead.

Can I put these games on my own website?

That is between you and the game’s author, not us. Each game page links to its original source and names its licence — read that licence and follow its terms. Do not copy games from this site directly, because our copies are modified.

A game will not load or is behaving strangely. What should I do?

Try reloading the page first — the restart button under the game also does this. If it still fails, email us the name of the game plus the phone and browser you are using. Those two details are usually enough for us to reproduce the problem.

Can I suggest a game?

Please do. Send a link to the game and we will look at it. The practical constraints are that it has to be open source under a permissive licence, work with touch controls, and not use a name that belongs to somebody else — which rules out more games than you might expect.

Is this site suitable for children?

The games themselves are non-violent puzzle and arcade games. That said, the site is not directed at children under 13 and shows advertising, so it is not designed as a children’s product. Parents who want a completely ad-free environment should look at a service built for that.

Can I play without an internet connection?

Not reliably. A game you have already opened may keep working for a while if you lose signal, but the site is not built for offline play and games are not downloaded to your device.

Still stuck?

The contact page lists which address to use for what. For anything about your data see the privacy policy, and for copyright the content report page.
